Bernanke is bent but not broken by a critique at his confirmation hearing, CBS dusts off its double standard for Super Bowl sponsorship, Bloomberg bails on a terror trial, the ACORN "gotcha" guy gets got, China breezes past the U.S. in alternative energy development, injured Haitians get a dose of the broken U.S. healthcare system and are left out in the cold, the U.S. pledges to reduce its emissions, California's Senate passes Single Payer (but has to face a Terminating Governor), Oregon leads the way to a Progressive Tax, J.D. Salinger says sayonara, and Howard Zinn's history will long outlive him. We all bid him a very fond farewell.
